The Andy Snajdar Foundation

On August 26, 2008, we all lost someone very special to us in a tragic car accident.  That accident took the life of our friend, brother, son, cousin, and more. Andy Snajdar was just 21 at the time.  Andy was known to many for his ear-to-ear grin, his warmth (complete with bear hugs), and his generosity. Andy would give the shirt off his back to anyone, quite literally.  He was the life of the party, always there for a good time, good friends, and good music.  He had a special soul. We love and miss him everyday.

Every year since his death, all the “Badfish” that made up Andy’s community have come together and celebrated Andy’s life with the “Andy Snajdar Memorial Golf Outing”. Through the memorial golf outing, we have been able to raise nearly $20,000 for the Andy Snajdar Foundation.  The Andy Snajdar Foundation in turn has given scholarship every year for the past 13 years to a Mentor High School student. The scholarship has varied over the years to best reflect Andy’s life and his memory, ranging from the "Most Improved" student to "Community Service" or recognizing outstanding students in English and most recently to students pursuing a degree or profession in the Arts.
